Please Note

Below are known inaccuracies in Google Maps and/or some GPS units' map data.

Gold Coast to Springbrook - Motorists should be aware that the road link to Springbrook from the Gold Coast via Tallebudgera Valley as shown on Google is non-existent. Springbrook can only be accessed from the Pacific Highway at either Mudgeeraba via Springbrook Road or Nerang via Nerang – Murwillumbah Road. Alternatively, access from the South can be made from Tweed Valley Way at Murwillumbah following the Murwillumbah - Nerang Road

Sunshine Coast / Pumicestone Passage / Roys Rd area - To find Coochin Lodge, 1709 Roys Road, Coochin Creek, 4519 - ignore your GPS and Google Map. They incorrectly name roads and put roads where there are none. If coming from Brisbane there is a sneaky little underpass that will get you safely under the highway. When you get to the Roys Road intersection of the Bruce Highway turn left and immediately turn right on the dirt underpass. This will bring you to the eastern side of the Highway on Roys Road. Follow Roys Road past the pine plantations, past the orchard, past the strawberry farm until it runs parallel with Pumicestone/Bribie Passage. Continue along Roys Road until you see the highest old Queenslander with the red roof. That’s Coochin Lodge. About ten minutes from the Highway.
